Snow Fort Conflicts

In the past couple of weeks there have been many conflicts about who is in charge of  the side of the field where people are allowed to build forts and also who is allowed to be apart of the “Team”.  I say that kids should be free to build a fort wherever or whenever they want. There have also been many forts being destroyed by some people that think that they are being cool. One example of that is when there was one awesome fort called “The Castle” that got part way destroyed by a group of people that thought it was cool to steal snow blocks from one of the coolest forts our school has ever seen! With those blocks they made smaller forts close together and called it “The Village”. Everyone from “The Castle” started moving over to “The Village”. I would’ve just simply have taken both forts and made an even cooler one with all of the blocks. So what would you have done? Which team would you have been on? Do you agree with my solution? And if anyone reading this can relate to this than I’m sure you’ll understand.

  1. Yeah, I totally agree. My sister has always been complaining that people are destroying peoples forts. Everybody should share and build one really cool fort all together. That way everyone learns how to share and there will be less fighting and bullying. And why do people steal other peoples blocks, when there is lots of snow and other blocks they could use? But if they all work together, then everyone can use the snow blocks and also build a awesome fort at the same time.
    What do you think?

  2. Yes, I also agree. Everybody should work together and make one really cool big snow fort it would be much better. There would not be as much bullying and people feeling left out. Besides there are lots of blocks just laying around on the field anyways. Lots of blocks means a better forts(s) meaning a much funner recess that is more enjoyable. I guess what I'm trying to say is working together + no bullying-stealing blocks and breaking forts= a great recess, lots of fun and a big fort.
    What do you think?

  3. I agree that people should work together and not steal blocks. Ive never really been part of this kind of thing but my sister is batteling against some other fort right now so she keeps coming home and bringing information on it back. If you cant decide on who gets which block then why dont you just make one big fort and share the block. Like violetpuppie$ said if you work together there is less people that feel left out and keeping someone out of the group is like bullying. If a group has a big block and you dont want to join them then think about all the other big blocks there are in the field. Im sure you can find one there. But like I said earlier Ive never really been part of this tye of thing.

  4. I agree with all of you! Why break a fort that was very difficult to build just to be cool?!
I also agree with everyone else, people should build a fort together. There would be even more people helping so it would be bigger and no one would steal blocks! Or, there are many differant places in the fields to build forts, and other places to find snow and blocks.

Even though some people have fun breaking forts and than building there own, some people just don't understand how all the other people feel when all there hard work gets destroyed. Still I am not really part of this stuff so I can not say what other people think.

I can't wait to see all the other posts!

  5. I am on the village side.
I think it's pretty cool to have several little forts in one place with people working together.
Lately there's a serious shortage on ice bricks because the ground is frozen solid. Unless you want to dig out ONE piece of ice for 4 recesses I suggest you try digging NOW.

in the mean time ill just shut my big yap.

  6. I agree with you ~Happy Hedgehog.Anyone who breaks a fort that someone else built is rude especially if you were doing it to be cool. I think that people should have to do something because of what they did especially since we put all that hard work into the fort. That is what I think about the things with forts.
