Have you ever solved a crime?

On November 4th our grade 6 class went to the Bennett Centre to solve a crime.  We had lots of fun and learned a lot.
While we were at the Bennett Centre  (B.C.) we focused on one particular thing, that is we investigated our own crime scene.  We studied fingerprints, tested the evidence and scoured the crime scene for evidence.
For transportation we walked to the B.C.; there and back.  It was a little chilly but I think it was fine.  When we got there we hung up our bags and coats and got to wear genuine BC forensic lab coats.  After that we got straight to the investigating.
At lunch we sat in the cafeteria and ate our lunches that we brought from home. I think that it would have been really cool if we could have gotten some delicious lunch from their amazing chefs, but then we would have had to pay.
I think that lots of students had a great time.  I think that the grade 5 class will have lots of fun next year.  What I didn't enjoy was that we only focused on investigating the crime scene.  I thought that we would learn how to use dust to uncover finderprints and learn where to look to see what time the person was killed.  That really disappointed me. I also would have like it if would have gotten our lunch from the B.C.
Other than those minor disappointments I had an awesome time being a forensic scientist at the Bennett Centre.  How about you?

  1. I agree that the bennet centre (bc) was so much fun and that the grade fives will love it next year. I think that there food is so good and I was a little dissapointed that we didnt get any this time, but that would mean that we have to pay again. I also really like how they set up everything and that we got lab coats, because it was fun and funny seeing everyone in them.
I think the walk there was kind of a waste of the time because we could have been working there before already, plus it was pretty cold. But then again it was good excersise. My sister was kind of jealous after I told her all the cool thing we did, now she cant wait until grade 6. For the most part it was fun though and I would go again.(if i could)

  3. I loved our trip to the Bennet Center for our Evidence and Investigation unit but I think that the sleepover was much better. Probably because of the food and it was longer and the food. Turtle101 you are so lucky to make you smaller sibling jealous. When I told my brother he just snickered and said that he did that three years ago. I felt dumb. But then I beat him at Wii and every thing was good
