In the past week our class was fortunate enough to go to the Legislature for a week for our Social Studies unit. On one of the days we were able t go on tours with everyday people that worked there (example – electrician).
One of the things they showed us was the Palm Room. The Palm Room is the very top floor of the Legislature. They told us that only they were able to go up there (not even the Premier) and the students from School at the Leg (SATL) were an acception to the rules. No public allowed. If you would have made the rules would you have made it possible for the public to go in? Would you have made a toll booth so people would have to pay for a certain amount of time in the Palm Room? Or would you lock the doors and throw way the key so nobody can get in, making he room a money waste and dust collector. Or would you keep the rules the way they are now, Staff and SATL students only?
Tell me what YOU think.
